To expand our Analytical Development department in Venlo, we are looking for a:

Analytical Chemistry Project Manager

Who are you?

As an Analytical Chemistry Project Manager, you are the primary point of contact for the client. You have a strong passion for analytical chemistry, particularly for liquid chromatography and gas chromatography.

You will work within the Analytical Development department, where complex analytical methods are developed and validated. This ranges from trace-level analysis to content determination using LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, ICP-MS, ion chromatography, and other high-end analytical techniques.

You therefore possess a solid background in analytical chemistry and have experience with analytical method development and validation.

You are able to effectively translate client requirements into appropriate analytical solutions, while keeping the agreed-upon schedule and available budget in mind. You manage the daily projects carried out by a team of chemical analysts at the bachelor's and master's level. You guide them in achieving project objectives and support them with both minor and more complex analytical challenges.

You are happy to go the extra mile to successfully complete tasks and take initiative within primary work processes. When analytical problems arise, you develop a targeted plan to identify the root cause and resolve the issue.

In addition to carefully documenting and correctly reporting results, you are able to clearly summarize and present research findings. You draft plans to advance projects and discuss these persuasively with the client.

You are accustomed to working according to GMP guidelines. In this role, you report directly to the Group Lead Analytical Development.

What do you bring to the table?

• A completed Master’s degree or PhD in Analytical Chemistry
• At least four years of work experience in an analytical chemistry laboratory
• Experience in a contract laboratory is a plus
• Demonstrable knowledge of chromatographic techniques, preferably in combination with mass spectrometry
• A flexible, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset
• The ability to work pleasantly and effectively within a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Proficiency in Dutch is a plus
• A proactive work ethic and the ability to maintain an overview under pressure
• A drive to share and transfer knowledge
